I got out side the box and ate deer chile and elk chile. they were both good. some of the beef chile looked good, I cooked an apricot coobler, burned the top while visiting down the road with Charlie & Charlotte, Tim and Joanne, imagain that.

The dogs are going nuts because I have dressed and ready to ride, now I am still in the house. they can't figure it out. may be later.

I just watched America by Horseback, the first time I have ever seen the show since I now have RFD TV on our Cox Cable. They were in North Carolina. It was kind of boring just watching people ride by the camera. Hopefully the others will show more about the places to ride than people riding by a stationary camera. Lots of nice looking horses though!

Our stupid air compressor, hubby couldn't get it to work and my bumper pull tires were all 15 pounds low. I had to pay $3 at a closeby gas station to fill them back up. Flying J is free but the opposite direction of where I was going.

The clinic was great. My boys were so good, I just left them in the trailer and gave them some hay while we were waiting. Everyone was ahead of me by the time I got there with the tire issue. My spare was also flat so we aired that up too. I literally paid HALF of what I paid last year. It did end up being a good deal. The vet was very nice and his wife is a doll. It went very smoothly but he was sure getting tired of rasping horse teeth by the time he got to me and that was 2:30. The clinic didn't end until 5 p.m.

My LQ trailer is HOOKED UP and pulled out of the pasture. I wanted to get it out of there before it started raining again. It only sprinkled here, never a downpour. When Julie borrowed my truck, then turned the ball back upside down. I hadn't noticed and pulled under to put the trailer on...where's my ball????? I hadn't ever done the flip over thing before. DUH!!!! We got 'er done though and it went really quickly. I am thankful hubby helps me hook up when my back is hurting.
Happy Trails to You!

I'm back from the lake. I camped out Friday and Saturday night. It was great getting to camp. Hubby came out Friday and we ate at the cafe, then he came back out Saturday and rode Sylvester. I took him to the south side and we rode for quite a while. He seemed to be having fun, other than a knee talking to him. Then he spent the night and came home this morning. I got up and saddled up and we rode out at 9:oo. It rained slowing the whole time. We had a good ride and moved the two big trees on the Lakeside Trail on the south side and cleared out some broken branches. Tim hooked onto the branches with Scout and got them out of there quick. The only trails I know of that are blocked now are the high road and a small section between the high and low road on the south. We're making progress. Wish I could have stayed and rode again tomorrow. But I have a dentist appointment. I have a cracked tooth, so he is going to grind it off and make a cap. YUK

OKH, was your clinic a coggins or teeth floating??

I am getting my horses floated this month don't know when they will call.

My horses stood really nice in line. I saw a girl with three horses that was pulling her every where, they wouldn't stand still at all. mine were just standing there with there lead ropes on the ground. even when they got their shots I didn't have to hold them. a lady walked by and ask if I could train hers like that.
Priss wouldn't have been so nice had she been up there by herself, with rocket at the trailer.

spring is HERE,I got a tick of of me...Sat after I rode..............Tim killed a moqesto (SP) Ethel found snake that was striking at her, she kept jumping back is the reason I went over to see what she was after. guess it was a bull snake.

gott go get busy, gone all week end....................house work

RR: It was everything, shots, coggins, sheath, teeth. He was getting really tired by 2 p.m.

I've got a busy week too.

TP: Glad you had a good camping weekend and you got hubby to ride! WOW! Did he like your new trailer?

He had a good time. Of course, he would like a big camper with a big bathroom and a couch and all the comforts, but I told him I didn't have enough money or room to back to get one of those, so this one would have to do. LOL That was a good weekend for him to come out. We had the chili cookoff, (I had the winning chili 2 years running) and a good campfire that night, good riding weather, and he got to visit with a bunch of people he hadn't seen in a while during the Coggins.

There is no way we could do teeth and sheath at our clinic. There are just too many horses and not enough of her to go around. We had 204 horses, according to Terry at the stables. She goes over there after she leaves the pavilion and does a bunch there also.

Dar,
What is the brand of saw you got? It sounds like a real handy item to have. Although, we was able to hand saw and push everything we came up on this weekend. Mostly rotten wood and evergreens.

I unwinterized my trailer this weekend, so I am hoping for no more freezing weather. I'm ready for spring.

Tweets - Dar bought a little Stihl saw. I've got one about the same size and I love it. You are going to have to give us your Chili secrests or just make some for us at our nex ride. RR can make the cobbler if we don't distract her and I'll make ice cream for Dar's Root Beer floats. Can't wait to get back to riding and camping.

I am one step closer to getting settled. We have a contract on a place about one mile from where I live now. I'm so excited I can't stand it. It's five acres, one level house, swimming pool, lots of pipe fencing, five stall horse barn and several smaller barns for company. It also backs up to AA's place. She is going to have to trade me tomatoes for swimming. I told Ken that if we didn't sell our place in six months, I'd go to work at Walmart to make the extra payments. I will be working very hard to get this place sold.

Went to Tulsa yesterday to play with the grandbabies so this old grandma is worn out. It poured down at my house today. Hope that means everything will be green soon.

Later,

Eva

GR
I might just have to do that next time we have a bunch camping out. It goes a long ways. I thought it might be a stiel saw. I found one on E-bay called the mini boss. Congrats on finding a house. I bet you are anxious to get moved now.

I got my tooth worked on today...no fun at all. I know my jaw hinges are going to be painfully sore tomorrow. But I am hoping I can eat cold stuff or switch from hot to cold without going to the floor in pain. I went ahead and too a half day vacation so I could go home and chill out. I just hate going to the dentist and mine is real gentle. It's just the idea of it all.

Chatty,
You did a great job working on the trails when you was at DuL. I could see where you have worked.
Thanks,

TP

Boy, my chiro helped!!! Going cack next Mon. Then off to work until after 4pm. I cheated and brought home a pizza for JR.

BRENDA...Eva's saw is a mini boss. Mine is the MS 192 T. I barely used it. Mostly JR did. But I am liking what I saw (  ) If you look, my saw has the handle on the top so it is shorter. I also got a 12" bar. Same engine as the mini boss. Regrettfully, about $100. more.

Got the farrier coming tomorrow for ALL the works. Going to drain my purse

OKH...See you in the AM.....

DAR. I will just take Tim and Charlie, they can had saw great. ha ha

Eva, that will be a hard move. just down the road,, good luck.
things are selling now around here.

I have been looking at a horse trailer in okc, a 4 star. I have 15,000 saved, then selling my trailer I can afford it. but I think it sold, it is not on the web page any more I had talked to them a few times about the trade, but it was when all that weather was in , so I never got up to see it. there will be more. they are every where now days. it had all I would want which is what I said when I bought this one. worm wood floors, generater, couch, really nice inside mangers, no cook top, big frig. big sink, and walk thur. , double hydralic jacks,,,,,,,lots of other extra, ,,bathroom etc.,,,,,,,,I gave B. D.. the bad news tonight that I think it is gone. he was glad. it will happen just don't know when.

I told karla I picked her to buy my trailer , she said really?????? what does that mean???? :conf:
I can always tell when Karla has been there, that is why we call her the clipper lady.

Brenda, I called Joe because I for got to pick up my allergy meds. he said they got really confussed at Terrys; Which I talked to him Sat. I was hoping they were still over at Terrys so I could ride over and get it. he said Terry said do these 3 and these three, now these two, No don't do this one. so by the time they left over there they didn't have a good count. but thought 205 maybe 10, I can't imagain them trying to do floating and sheath, they would still be out there. Joe really enjoys coming out there. I am sure they make a lot of money with people getting extra stuff. I paid them 74$. I had already done some of mine before.

RR.....Well, I am thinking a good woman with a good chain saw could equal two men with hand saws!!!!   Now where to find a good woman???????

Good luck finding that special trailer. That sure sounds like a great one! A friend of Rox's has one for sale. It has a 5 1/2 short wall. If you want the number I will get it for you. It is S of Norman. Hope you find one sooner than me!!!!!

OKH...Do you have my CL shirt? If so will you throw it in your trailer? THanks...

Dar: You didn't get it from Teri? It was in her truck, in her big bag. I love that t-shirt. It is so soft and very comfy. I wore it yesterday after it aired out. Would like to get that brand again next time I order a t-shirt.

Never stir your Crystal Light with the spoon you used to get minced garlic out of the jar with. I am having Raspberry Lemonade with garlic in it. EWWW!!!!

RR: That is so exciting! All you guys with your pretty trailers won't want to hang with me.

TP: Would love to try your chili! I am a pretty good chili maker too. But we all do it a little differently.

GR: You've got a crazy month for sure. Congrats though!

Back to the grindstone. I have a ton of work to get done this week. Hubby snotted and snorted all night, along with coughing and snoring, I am so so tired!!!!!! He slept right through it.
Happy Trails to You!

I will still look I am going to email 4 star tonight and see. I am in NO hurry. the right one will come along, I am going to buy used so I can get one with a couch or booth so the dogs/B.D. will have room to stay n the trailer whilest I am out. I am trying to get him to buy a smaller trailer his is 48 ft. long 3 axels it is just to big to get around in. They have some really nice ones online here in Duncan/Rezener , I have looked at them but he hasn't..................then we want to do what Eva is doing , so much to think about when you talk moving. Two people on my mile have called to see if we are ready, one wants his twins in Comanche school ,,,,,,,,,,,they have more land then we do. they have an above ground pool which I wouldn't want, even tho I have always wanted a pool when the kids were little, they are a lot of work. I don't need two hobbys. It can be moved I am sure.

FYI
I watch part OF DENNIS REIS I never watch his show, but I was flipping channels this a.m. while drinking my coffee. I saw the last half of this episode. It was something to do with his upper testing to get a higher rating from his teaching???? anyway I saw the last half and when he gave the winners A girl that came out to the club meeting one night was on there, she was running first until the last person went.
she cam in second. they did some ground work ,next week they will ride. It is on again at 9 p.m. tonight. I am going to watch she has given several demo's she has mustangs. Her name is Lisa Clark she has a web site.

Hi all. Glad Sportsman's & DL are coming along. The RN trails were pretty good on what we covered. Did some trimming and will need to take out a chain saw for at least 1 spot.

Eva Congrats on the new place. Now you and AA will have to throw some joint parties.

RR Good luck with a new trailer.

Anyone watching the Amazing Race. Our boys, Jet and Cord, are really doing good. Way to go boys!!

Maybe we need to have a HB chili contest. I can cook a batch of mean chili, too. The X was always wanting me to cook some up for the fire dept.

Tweets Wow, Got hubby out and riding. WAY TO GOOOOOO!!!!!! Hope he will join you more often.

HMMMM's for all.
